Setting Custom Template Options

The options available in the option templates permit you to set the most commonly used options. However, you may want to set more advanced options. This capability is provided in the Template Manager.

To Set Custom Template Options

  1. In the Design Manager, select Utility Template Manager.

The Template Manager dialog box appears, as shown in the “Template Manager Dialog Box” figure of the “Menu Commands” chapter.

  2. Specify the type of template you want to work with by selecting either Implementation Templates, Simulation Templates, or Configuration Templates in the Template Manager dialog box.

  3. Select a template from the Template List in the Template Manager dialog box.

  4. Click Customize.

The Customize dialog box appears, as shown in the “Customize Dialog Box” figure of the “Menu Commands” chapter.

  5. Type the program name in the Program Name field and the option names in the Program Options field.

  6. Click Set.

The program and option names are added to the Template Custom Options list box.

  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each program and option you want to enter.

  8. To remove a program, click on the program in the Template Custom Options dialog box and click Delete.

  9. Click OK in the Customize dialog box.

When you implement the design, the Flow Engine uses the normal options as well as the custom options that are specified in the custom template.

NOTE

It is possible to enter options in the Custom Template dialog box that can conflict with normal Flow Engine options. It is beyond the scope of this manual to explain all the possible conflicts.
